Mobile rear extremity platform for locomotives
Client request: Make several types of maintenance and assembly operations on different locomotives models.
FORTAL solution: Design and manufacture of a two-levels mobile platform, aluminium structure and steel frame. Both levels of the mobile platform are equipped with peripheral guardrails and removable guardrails on the train side. Draw-out extension complete the train-side platforms to match perfectly the shape of the different locomotives. The anti-slip coating of the steps and platform and their comfortable dimensions allow operators to work safely. The frame is equipped with lorry wheels and a drawbar for easy displacement.
