Customer request: Ensure safe and reliable access to bus roofs for maintenance operations, while accommodating various vehicle sizes and the specific constraints of a workshop environment. The challenge was to provide operators with a stable, ergonomic, and comfortable workstation, allowing them to perform their tasks safely and confidently.
FORTAL solution: Design and manufacture of a height-adjustable mobile platform equipped with a deployable protection ring. Its design combines a galvanized steel chassis with an extruded aluminum structure, ensuring both robustness and corrosion resistance. The working area is spacious, anti-slip, and easily accessible through a variable-angle staircase, providing optimal comfort of use. Once the ring is deployed, the operator benefits from a fully secured perimeter, thanks to safety gates, guardrails, and sliding lower sections. The platform can be easily moved within the workshop using swivel wheels with brakes, which can be lifted using crank-operated jacks. In working position, it rests on stabilization pads ensuring perfect steadiness. Non-marking rubber protections are fitted on the vehicle side to prevent any risk of damage.
