Fixed platform for hydrogen van roof maintenance
Client request: Provide safe and ergonomic roof access for hydrogen vans to carry out maintenance operations while taking into account the constraints of an existing workshop and the different vehicle dimensions. The objective was to ensure operator safety, facilitate roof maintenance operations, and improve working conditions without affecting the existing equipment.
FORTAL solution: FORTAL designed and manufactured a custom fixed platform dedicated to hydrogen van roof maintenance. Comprising a main platform, a rail-mounted mobile platform, and sliding extensions, it provides safe access along the entire length and width of the vehicle. The sliding guardrails, operable from ground level, secure the working areas while facilitating material handling. Thanks to its trapped-key interlocking system, access to the platform is only permitted when all safety devices are correctly positioned. Manufactured from 6000 series extruded aluminium, this robust, maintenance-free solution integrates perfectly into the workshop environment, particularly with the existing vehicle lift, providing operators with a safe, ergonomic, and efficient working environment.
